The Mauves of Brussels

Anderlecht were founded in 1908 in the Brussels district that gives the club its name. Their purple-and-white colours earned them the nickname Les Mauves. Our Anderlecht 1960s shirt recreates the look of a side that won five Belgian titles in a row from 1964 to 1968, with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

European nights

In the 1970s Anderlecht became a force in Europe. They won the Cup Winners’ Cup in 1976 and again in 1978, and added the UEFA Cup in 1983. Few Belgian clubs have matched that record abroad.
