Royal blue and white have been Everton’s colours since 1901, but the road there took in some remarkable shirts. Our retro Everton shirts span the club’s Victorian beginnings, the 1920s, the 1966 FA Cup and the title side of 1970. From St Domingo’s to Goodison

The club was formed in 1878 as St Domingo’s FC and became Everton a year later. Early sides wore several colours, including black shirts with a scarlet sash. Our Everton 1886 Retro Shirt comes from those early days, and the Everton 1890-91 Retro Football Shirt marks the club’s first league title. Goodison Park opened in 1892, and royal blue arrived in 1901.

Wembley, 1966

In the 1966 FA Cup Final Everton trailed Sheffield Wednesday 2–0, then scored three to win. Our Everton 1966 FA Cup Final Retro Football Shirt recalls one of Wembley’s great comebacks. Four years later the Everton 1969-1970 Retro Football Shirt takes you to another league title.

Everton adopted royal blue shirts in 1901, after trying several colours in their early years, including black shirts with a scarlet sash.

Why are Everton called the Toffees?+

The nickname is linked to toffee sold near the club’s early grounds, a local treat that became part of Everton’s identity.

What sizes do the Everton shirts come in?+

Adult shirts come in sizes S to 5XL, and we make a kids’ range too. Check the size guide on each shirt for chest measurements.

Can I return my shirt?+

Unpersonalised shirts can be returned within 14 days. Personalised shirts are made to order, so they can’t be returned unless faulty.
