The Atlanta Chiefs were one of the pioneers of professional soccer in the American South, and the very first champions of the North American Soccer League. Our retro Atlanta Chiefs shirts and classic Atlanta Chiefs kits celebrate a club that played in red, white and blue across two spells in the city.

Giant-killers of 1968

In 1968 the Chiefs twice beat Manchester City, then one of the top sides in England, winning 3–2 on 28 May and 2–1 on 15 June. That same year they were crowned the first champions of the NASL. Our Atlanta Chiefs 1960s Shirt recalls those early days, with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

Two lives in Atlanta

The first Chiefs played from 1967, spending the 1973 season as the Atlanta Apollos before the name disappeared. It returned in 1979, when the Caribous of Colorado were bought and moved to Atlanta, and the new Chiefs played on until 1981.
