Corsica’s blues

The club was founded in Bastia in 1905. Blue has always been its dominant colour, and supporters are known as the Turchini, Corsican for the Blues. The team plays at Furiani, which gives it the nickname I Lioni di Furiani. Our Bastia 1962-1963 Retro Football Shirt recalls the early years.

The road to the UEFA Cup final

In 1978 Bastia reached the UEFA Cup final against PSV Eindhoven. The first leg in Corsica finished 0–0 on a waterlogged pitch, and PSV won the return 3–0.
