Berwick Rangers are one of football’s great curiosities: an English club from Berwick-upon-Tweed that plays in the Scottish game. At TOFFS we recreate retro Berwick Rangers shirts in the club’s black and gold, including the era of their most famous result. Our classic Berwick Rangers kits are handcrafted in the UK from 100% cotton, with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

A border club

The club was founded in 1881. Berwick sits just south of the border and was once part of Scotland, so the Borderers have always played in the Scottish system. Shielfield Park has been their home since 1954.

28 January 1967

In the first round of the 1966–67 Scottish Cup, Berwick were drawn at home to Rangers. Managed by Jock Wallace, they won 1–0, with Sammy Reid scoring in the 32nd minute. A record crowd of 13,365 packed into Shielfield, and the result sent shockwaves around Scottish football. Our Berwick Rangers 1965-1967 Retro Football Shirt comes from that era, and Berwick Rangers 1967 Cup V Glasgow Rangers remembers the day itself.

More Scottish classics

The story continues into the late 1970s with our Berwick Rangers 1977-1978 Retro Football Shirt. Explore more of Scotland’s famous names in our retro Scottish club shirts collection, or add a name and number to make yours unique.
