A southern force

The club was founded in 1894 as Bristol South End and took the name Bristol City in 1897, when it turned professional. In 1904 it moved to Ashton Gate. In 1906–07 City finished runners-up in the First Division, and two years later reached the 1909 FA Cup Final, played at Crystal Palace. Our Bristol City 1909 FA Cup Final Retro Football Shirt marks the club’s only appearance in the final.
