Burnley are one of the founding names of English league football, and their claret and blue is known throughout the game. Our retro Burnley shirts recreate classic Burnley kits from the 1920s to the 1960s, handcrafted in the UK from 100% cotton with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

Turf Moor and the first league

The club was founded in 1882 and moved to Turf Moor in February 1883, where it has played ever since. In 1888 Burnley were among the twelve founder members of the Football League. In 1910 the directors changed the club’s colours from green to claret and blue, and the Clarets were born.

Champions twice

Burnley won the FA Cup in 1914, beating Liverpool in the final, and were crowned league champions in 1920–21. Our Burnley 1920s Retro Football Shirt comes from that golden decade. A second title followed in 1959–60, and our Burnley 1960s Away Retro Shirt belongs to the years that followed.
