Riverside to Ninian Park

The club was founded in 1899 as Riverside AFC. After Cardiff was granted city status, the club became Cardiff City in 1908 and adopted a blue shirt. Ninian Park opened in 1910, named after Lord Ninian Crichton-Stuart, and was home for 99 years.

Wembley, 1927

Cardiff reached the FA Cup Final in 1925 and returned two years later. On St George’s Day, 23 April 1927, they beat Arsenal 1–0 at Wembley. It made Cardiff the only club from outside England ever to win the FA Cup.
