Corinthians are the Time do Povo, the People’s Team, and their white shirts are worn by millions across Brazil. At TOFFS we make retro Corinthians shirts inspired by the classic Corinthians kits of the 1970s and 1980s. Every shirt is handcrafted in the UK from 100% cotton, with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

An English inspiration

The club was founded on 1 September 1910 by five railway workers in São Paulo, inspired by the touring London amateurs Corinthian FC. The first shirts were cream with black shorts, but the cream faded to white in the wash, and a young club could not afford to keep replacing them. White it became.

1977 and the long wait

In 1977 Corinthians won the São Paulo state championship, ending a run of 23 years without a major title. Our Corinthians BRA 1977 and the Corinthians Paulista 1970s Retro Football Shirt take their cue from that decade.

Corinthians Democracy

In the early 1980s, led by Sócrates, Wladimir and Casagrande, the players took a say in how the club was run, and spoke up for democracy during Brazil’s military dictatorship. Our Corinthians Paulista 1983 Retro Football Shirt is named for that period in the club’s history.

Why is the club called Corinthians?+

The founders in 1910 were inspired by Corinthian FC, the London amateur club that was touring Brazil that year.

Did Corinthians always wear white?+

No. The first shirts were cream, but the colour faded to white in the wash, and the club soon settled on white shirts with black shorts.

Can I add a name and number to my Corinthians shirt?+

Yes. Choose a name and number for £12, or just a name or just a number for £7.50. We match the lettering style to the era of your shirt.

What sizes do the Corinthians shirts come in?+

Adult shirts come in sizes S to 5XL, and we make a kids’ range too. Check the size guide on each shirt for chest measurements.

Can I return my shirt?+

Unpersonalised shirts can be returned within 14 days. Personalised shirts are made to order, so they can’t be returned unless faulty.
