Costa Rica reached their first World Cup in 1990. They beat Scotland 1–0 in Genoa, lost narrowly to Brazil and then beat Sweden 2–1 to reach the last 16. Our Costa Rica 1990 Retro Football Shirt takes its inspiration from that summer.

Costa Rica went even further in 2014. Drawn with three former world champions, Uruguay, Italy and England, they topped the group and reached the quarter-finals, going out to the Netherlands on penalties.
