Croatia’s red-and-white checks are one of the most distinctive designs in world football. Our range of retro Croatia shirts and T-shirts takes its cue from the classic Croatia kits of the Vatreni, with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos. Everything is handcrafted in the UK from 100% cotton.

The checkerboard

The famous pattern comes from the šahovnica, the red-and-white chequered shield on the Croatian coat of arms. Our Croatia Red/White T-Shirt and Croatia Red Harrington Jacket carry the national colours.

France, 1998 and Russia, 2018

At their first World Cup in France in 1998, Croatia finished third and Davor Šuker won the Golden Boot. Twenty years later they reached the final in Moscow, losing 4–2 to France. The 2018 World Cup Final France v Croatia Retrotext T-Shirt marks that day. They finished third again in Qatar in 2022.
