Crystal Palace have worn two very different looks in their history. Our retro Crystal Palace shirts recreate classic Crystal Palace kits from both, from the claret and blue of the 1940s to the red and blue of the 1970s. Each is handcrafted in the UK from 100% cotton, with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

The claret and blue years

For their first 68 years Palace were a claret and light blue club, and they were known as the Glaziers. Our Crystal Palace 1948-1949 Retro Football Shirt, Crystal Palace 1957-1958 Retro Football Shirt and Crystal Palace 1961-1963 Retro Football Shirt come from that era.

Allison’s Eagles

In 1973 manager Malcolm Allison changed everything. Out went claret and blue and the Glaziers nickname. In came red and blue vertical stripes, a new eagle badge and a new name, the Eagles. The first competitive match in the new identity was played on 25 August 1973. Our Crystal Palace 1973-74 Retro Shirt and Crystal Palace 1975-76 Retro Football Shirt belong to those first seasons.
