Two World Cup finals

The national team played from 1920 until the country split in 1993, when the Czech Republic and Slovakia formed their own sides. Czechoslovakia reached the World Cup final twice, losing to Italy in Rome in 1934 and to Brazil in Santiago in 1962. Belgrade, 1976

Czechoslovakia won the European Championship in 1976, beating West Germany on penalties in Belgrade. Antonín Panenka won it with a gently chipped penalty down the middle, a style still named after him. Our Czechoslovakia 1976 European Champions Retro Football Shirt celebrates that night.
