The Quakers of Feethams

Darlington were founded in 1883 and played at Feethams for 120 years, until the last match there against Leyton Orient in May 2003. The Quakers nickname reflects the historic influence of the Religious Society of Friends in the town. In 1921 the club became founder members of the Third Division North, and won that division in 1924–25.

Stripes, hoops and plain white

Darlington have worn black and white in many forms, from vertical stripes to hoops and plain white shirts. A new chapter

The club won the Fourth Division in 1990–91 and the FA Trophy in 2011. After the original club was expelled in 2012, a new club was immediately formed as Darlington 1883, and in 2017 the FA approved a return to the traditional name of Darlington FC.
