The Blues of Zagreb

Dinamo were founded in Zagreb in 1945. Their blue shirts gave them the nickname Modri, meaning the Blues. Through the Yugoslav era they were one of the country’s leading sides.

Fairs Cup winners, 1967

In 1967 Dinamo reached the final of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup against Leeds United. They won the first leg 2–0 in Zagreb and held on for a 0–0 draw at Elland Road. It was the first European trophy won by a Yugoslav club. Our Dinamo Zagreb 1960s Retro Football Shirt recalls that side.
