France played their first international against Belgium in 1904. At the 1958 World Cup in Sweden they finished third, and Just Fontaine scored 13 goals, still a record for a single tournament. Hosts and champions

France hosted the first European Nations’ Cup finals in 1960, recalled by our France 1960 European Championship Retro Football Shirt.
