Ghana’s Black Stars take their name from the black star at the centre of the national flag. Our retro Ghana shirts recreate a classic Ghana kit from the 1980s, with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos. It’s handcrafted in the UK from 100% cotton.

Champions of Africa

Ghana played their first international as the Gold Coast in 1950, beating Nigeria in Accra. After independence they became one of Africa’s strongest sides, winning the Africa Cup of Nations in 1963, 1965, 1978 and 1982. Our Ghana 1980s Retro Football Shirt comes from that decade.

On the world stage

Ghana reached their first World Cup in Germany in 2006. In South Africa four years later they reached the quarter-finals, going out to Uruguay on penalties.
