Green, red and black are the colours of Glentoran, the east Belfast club founded in 1882 and known as the Glens. Our retro Glentoran shirts recreate classic Glentoran kits, handcrafted in the UK from 100% cotton with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

The Oval and Vienna

Glentoran’s home is the Oval in east Belfast. The club won the first of its many Irish League titles in 1894. In 1914 the Glens travelled to Austria and won the Vienna Cup, becoming the first British team to claim a European trophy.

Benfica at the Oval

In the 1967–68 European Cup, Glentoran took an early lead against Benfica at the Oval through a penalty, before Eusébio equalised for a 1–1 draw. The return in Lisbon finished 0–0, and Benfica went through on away goals. Glentoran were the first team to be eliminated by the rule.
