Stripes from 1913

Huddersfield Town were founded on 15 August 1908 and played at Leeds Road for 86 years. In 1913 the club adopted the striped blue-and-white shirt that it still wears today. The Terriers nickname came much later, in 1969.

Chapman’s champions

Herbert Chapman became manager in March 1921. The following year Town beat Preston North End 1–0 in the FA Cup Final, and they went on to be crowned league champions in 1923–24, 1924–25 and 1925–26, the first English club to win three titles in a row.
