Black and gold are the colours of Kaizer Chiefs, the most successful club in South African football since the start of the top flight in 1970. Kaizer and the Atlanta Chiefs

The club was founded on 7 January 1970 by Kaizer Motaung, who had played for the Atlanta Chiefs in the North American Soccer League. He combined his own first name with that of his old team to create Kaizer Chiefs. The club is known as Amakhosi, meaning Chiefs or Kings in Zulu, and as the Glamour Boys.

Champions of South Africa

Chiefs have won twelve league titles, from 1974 to 2015, along with many cup wins. In 2001 they won the African Cup Winners’ Cup, and in 2021 they reached the CAF Champions League final. Our Kaizer Chiefs Retro Football Shirt is made from heavyweight 100% cotton.
