From Fosse to City

The club was founded in 1884 as Leicester Fosse and moved to Filbert Street in 1891. It became Leicester City in 1919. Filbert Street remained home for more than a century, until the move to a new stadium in 2002.

Champions in 2016

In 2015–16 Leicester were crowned champions of England, one of the most remarkable title wins in football history. The club’s first FA Cup followed in 2021.
