Champions at the first attempt

The Aztecs won the NASL in their debut season. On 25 August 1974 they drew 3–3 with the Miami Toros in the final and won the penalty shoot-out 5–3. Our LA Aztecs 1970s Shirt looks back to those early years, with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

Best, Cruyff and Elton John

Elton John was a part-owner from 1975 to 1977. George Best arrived in 1976 and scored 15 goals that season, and Johan Cruyff joined in 1979 and was named the league’s MVP.
