Blue and white are the colours of Millonarios, the club from Bogotá that once assembled one of the finest teams in the world. Our retro Millonarios shirts are inspired by the classic Millonarios kits of the 1940s. Each one is handcrafted in the UK from 100% cotton, with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

The El Dorado years

Millonarios was officially founded on 18 June 1946 as Club Deportivo Los Millonarios. A few years later came El Dorado, when Colombian clubs signed star players from outside the international transfer system. Adolfo Pedernera arrived to organise the side, and in 1949 he was joined by a young Alfredo Di Stéfano, who stayed until 1953.

The Blue Ballet

The team played such graceful football that it became known as El Ballet Azul, the Blue Ballet. Millonarios won four league titles in five seasons between 1949 and 1953, and in 1952 they beat Real Madrid 4–2. Our Millonarios 1940s Retro Football Shirt recalls the club’s earliest years.
