Montrose have played at Links Park since 1887, on the links by the Angus coast. At TOFFS we recreate retro Montrose shirts from the club’s best years in the 1970s and 1980s. Our classic Montrose kits are handcrafted in the UK from 100% cotton, with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

The Gable Endies

Montrose FC was founded on 13 October 1879 and moved to Links Park in 1887, on land rented from the Auld Kirk. The club is known as the Gable Endies, and sometimes, with a smile, as Links Park Dynamo.

The 1970s

The mid-1970s were a golden period. Under player-manager Alex Stuart, Montrose reached the semi-finals of the 1975–76 League Cup. Champions in 1985

Under Iain Stewart, Montrose won their first championship in 1984–85, taking the old Second Division title. The Montrose 1985 Champions Away Retro Football Shirt celebrates that season.
