Nantes are one of the great names of French football, and their yellow and green colours are among the brightest in the European game. Les Canaris

The club was founded in 1943, during the Second World War, through a merger of several smaller local clubs. The yellow shirts soon earned them the nickname Les Canaris, the Canaries. Nantes played at the Stade Marcel-Saupin until 1984, when they moved to the Stade de la Beaujoire.

Le jeu à la nantaise

Nantes became famous for the jeu à la nantaise, a collective, attacking style developed under coaches such as José Arribas and Jean-Claude Suaudeau. It brought eight French league titles between 1965 and 2001. Our Nantes 1979 Retro Football Shirt comes from the heart of that era.
