The All Whites

New Zealand played their first official international against Australia in 1922, the start of a long trans-Tasman rivalry. The team is known as the All Whites, after the colour of its strip. World Cup days

New Zealand reached their first World Cup in Spain in 1982 after a long qualifying campaign, playing Scotland, the Soviet Union and Brazil. They returned in 2010 in South Africa and went home unbeaten after three draws, including one with the reigning champions Italy.
