From gymnasts to Aiglons

The club was founded in 1904 as the Gymnaste Club de Nice, with gymnastics and athletics at its heart. Nice took on its red and black colours in 1919 after merging with Gallia Football Athlétic Club. The team is known as Les Aiglons, the Eaglets.

The golden 1950s

Nice won four French league titles in the 1950s, in 1951, 1952, 1956 and 1959, as well as the Coupe de France in 1952 and 1954. Our Nice 1953-1954 Retro Football Shirt takes you back to that decade.
