Nigeria’s green shirt is one of the most recognisable in African football. Our retro Nigeria shirts recreate classic Nigeria kits from the Green Eagles era, handcrafted in the UK from 100% cotton, with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

The Green Eagles

Nigeria played their first international in October 1949, winning 2–0 against Sierra Leone in Freetown. Once the team adopted the national colours, it became known as the Green Eagles. At the 1976 Africa Cup of Nations they finished third, and our Nigeria 1976 Africa Nations Cup Retro Football Shirt celebrates that tournament.

Champions of Africa

Nigeria won the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in 1980, and again in 1994 and 2013. After the 1988 tournament the team took on a new name, the Super Eagles. In 1994 they reached their first World Cup and made the last 16. Two years later, Nigeria’s Olympic side won gold in Atlanta.
