Why the Canaries?

Norwich City were founded in 1902 at a meeting at the Criterion Café, and first played in light blue and white halves. The club’s chairman was a keen canary breeder, and for the 1907–08 season the team switched to yellow shirts with green trim. The Canaries have played at Carrow Road since 1935.

Cup days and European nights

Norwich won the League Cup in 1962 and again in 1985. In the 1993–94 UEFA Cup they became the first British team to beat Bayern Munich at the Olympiastadion, winning 2–1.
