The Philadelphia Fury were one of the most unusual clubs of the NASL era, owned by a syndicate packed with names from the music business. Our retro Philadelphia Fury shirts and classic Philadelphia Fury kits recall a team that played in burgundy, gold and white.

A rock-and-roll boardroom

The Fury’s owners included the musicians Peter Frampton, Rick Wakeman of Yes and Paul Simon, alongside concert promoters and music managers. The team played its home games at Veterans Stadium, which it shared with the city’s baseball and American football sides.

Three seasons in Philadelphia

The Fury played from 1978 to 1980 and reached the playoffs in 1979. After the 1980 season the club was sold and moved to Montreal, where it became the Montreal Manic. Our Philadelphia Fury 1970s Shirt is short sleeved, with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.
