Portsmouth’s blue shirts, white shorts and red socks are one of the most distinctive combinations in English football. Our retro Portsmouth shirts recreate classic Portsmouth kits from 1939 to the late 1980s, handcrafted in the UK from 100% cotton with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

From salmon pink to blue

Portsmouth were founded in 1898, and Fratton Park, home throughout the club’s history, opened to the public in 1899. The first shirts were salmon pink with maroon collars and cuffs. Blue arrived in 1912, and in 1947 red socks replaced black, completing the famous combination.

Cup winners and champions

Pompey beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 4–1 in the 1939 FA Cup Final. Our Portsmouth 1939 FA Cup Winners Retro Football Shirt celebrates that side. After the war came back-to-back league titles in 1948–49 and 1949–50.
