Rapid București are the railway club of the Romanian capital, with one of the most passionate followings in the country. Our retro Rapid București shirts recreate the classic Rapid kits of the 1960s in burgundy and white, handcrafted in the UK from 100% cotton with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

The Railwaymen

The club was founded in 1923 by employees of the Grivița railway workshops in Bucharest. Those roots give Rapid its nickname, Feroviarii, the Railwaymen. The team plays in the Giulești district, which is why supporters also call it Giuleștenii.

Cup kings and champions

Rapid’s first golden era came in the 1930s and early 1940s, when the club won seven Romanian Cups between 1934 and 1942. The first league title followed in 1967. Our Rapid Bucuresti 1960 Retro Football Shirt comes from the decade that led up to it.
