Reading are one of the oldest clubs in the Football League, founded on Christmas Day 1871. Our retro Reading shirts recreate classic Reading kits from the Elm Park years, handcrafted in the UK from 100% cotton with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

Biscuitmen and Royals

Reading were once known as the Biscuitmen, after the town’s famous biscuit maker Huntley & Palmers. That name has faded, and today the club is known as the Royals, after the Royal County of Berkshire. Blue and white are the club colours.

The Elm Park years

For 102 years, from 1896 to 1998, Reading played at Elm Park. Our Reading 1960s Retro Football Shirt and Reading 1970 Retro Football Shirt both come from that long stay.

Record breakers

In 2005–06 Reading won their division with 106 points, a record for a professional league season at the time, and reached the top flight for the first time. Explore more classic clubs in our retro Championship shirts collection, or add a name and number to make your Reading shirt unique.
