The green and white stripes of Real Betis are one of the proudest sights in Spanish football, and they have a Scottish connection. Our retro Real Betis shirts recreate the classic Real Betis kits of the 1960s, handcrafted in the UK from 100% cotton with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

A Celtic connection

In the club’s early years, Manuel Ramos Asensio, who had been sent to Dumfries to learn English, became a regular at Celtic matches in Glasgow. Back in Seville, he arranged for green and white fabric to be sent over when Betis needed new shirts. Betis chose vertical stripes rather than hoops, and the colours also match the flag of Andalusia.

Champions of Spain

Betis won the Spanish league title in 1935, and later lifted the Copa del Rey in 1977 and 2005. Our Real Betis 1960s Retro Football Shirt brings back the stripes of the 1960s.
