Rochdale made history in 1962, and the Spotland club’s shirts have a story of their own. At TOFFS we recreate retro Rochdale shirts from the 1960s and 1970s. Our classic Rochdale kits are handcrafted in the UK from 100% cotton, with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

Black, white and blue

Rochdale were founded in 1907 and first played in black-and-white stripes, inspired by Newcastle United. Spotland was officially opened in 1920. In 1949 the club switched to blue and white, the colours it wore for more than half a century. After a black-and-white centenary season in 2007–08, black-and-blue shirts arrived in 2008.

League Cup finalists, 1962

In 1962 Rochdale, led by Tony Collins, became the first club from the bottom division to reach the final of a major competition. They beat Southampton, Doncaster, Charlton, York City and Blackburn Rovers before losing 4–0 on aggregate to Norwich City.
