Santos wear white, and for nearly two decades it was worn by one of the greatest players the game has seen. At TOFFS we make retro Santos shirts inspired by the classic Santos kits of the Pelé era, from the 1950s to the 1970s. The club from the port

Santos was founded on 14 April 1912 in the port city that gives the club its name, and its nickname, Peixe, means fish. The first colours were white, blue and gold, but they proved hard to make, and a year later the club changed to white and black. Pelé’s Santos

Pelé joined Santos in 1956 and played for the club until 1974, making 1,106 appearances. With him, Santos won the Copa Libertadores and the Intercontinental Cup in both 1962 and 1963. Why do Santos play in white?+

The club’s first colours were white, blue and gold, but they were hard to produce, so in 1913 Santos changed to white and black. The home shirt has been white ever since.
