A white shirt with two bands across the chest, red above black: São Paulo’s kit is one of the simplest and smartest in Brazil. Our retro São Paulo shirts are inspired by the classic São Paulo kits worn at the Morumbi. Each one is handcrafted in the UK from 100% cotton, with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

Founded twice

São Paulo was first founded on 25 January 1930 through a merger. The football department was disbanded in May 1935, and on 16 December that year the club was reconstituted as São Paulo Futebol Clube. The Morumbi stadium opened on 2 October 1960 with a 1–0 friendly win.

The Tricolor stripes

The home kit is a white shirt with two horizontal stripes at chest level, red and black, worn with white shorts and socks. Together with the white they give the club its nickname, Tricolor Paulista. Our Sao Paulo 1970 Home Retro Football Shirt carries that classic design.

Telê Santana’s world champions

Under coach Telê Santana, São Paulo won the Copa Libertadores and the Intercontinental Cup in both 1992 and 1993. A third Libertadores and the FIFA Club World Cup followed in 2005. Together with the white shirt they make up the club’s three colours, which is why São Paulo are known as the Tricolor Paulista.

Under Telê Santana they won the Intercontinental Cup in 1992 and 1993, and they won the FIFA Club World Cup in 2005.
