The Showgrounds

Sligo Rovers were founded in 1928 and play at the Showgrounds. They won their first League of Ireland title in 1936–37. In January 1939 the former Everton centre-forward Dixie Dean joined the club, scoring on his debut against Shelbourne and going on to score ten goals in seven league appearances, including five in one game against Waterford.

Champions in 1977

Rovers’ second league title came in 1976–77. Our Sligo Rovers 1976 Bass League Champions Retro Football Shirt celebrates that side. It is a long sleeve design with a collar, made from organic cotton in a heritage engineered stripe. A third title followed in 2012, along with FAI Cup wins in 1983, 1994, 2010 and 2013.
