Eagles of Carthage

Tunisia played their first international in June 1957, soon after independence, beating Libya 4–2 in Tunis. The team is known as the Eagles of Carthage, after the ancient city near modern Tunis. Home and away kits are white and red, the colours of the flag.

Argentina, 1978

At their first World Cup, in Argentina in 1978, Tunisia beat Mexico 3–1 in their opening match. It made them the first African and Arab team to win a match at the World Cup finals. Our Tunisia 1978 Retro Football Shirt celebrates that side. In 2004 Tunisia hosted and won the Africa Cup of Nations, beating Morocco in the final.
