Uruguay’s sky blue shirt belongs to the first world champions. Our retro Uruguay shirts recreate classic Uruguay kits from the World Cup finals of 1930 and 1950 to the tournament of 1986, handcrafted in the UK from 100% cotton with no modern sponsor or manufacturer logos.

La Celeste

Uruguay played their first international in Montevideo in July 1902, losing 6–0 to Argentina. The sky blue shirt arrived in 1910, a tribute to a victory by the Montevideo club River Plate over Alumni of Argentina. It gave the team its nickname, La Celeste. Uruguay won Olympic gold in 1924 and again in 1928.

World champions, twice

In 1930 Uruguay hosted the first World Cup and beat Argentina 4–2 in the final in Montevideo. Our Uruguay 1930 World Cup Final Retro Football Shirt celebrates that day. Twenty years later, at the Maracanã, Uruguay came from behind to beat Brazil 2–1 and win the World Cup again. The Uruguay 1950 World Cup Final Retro Football Shirt remembers one of football’s greatest upsets.

Mexico 1986

The Uruguay 1986 World Cup Retro Football Shirt and the Uruguay 1986 World Cup Retro Football Shirt - Sky come from the tournament in Mexico, where Uruguay reached the last 16.
