The shirt
The Rugby Union Final of the 1924 Olympics, held in Paris, was between France and the United States. The previous Olympics in 1920 seen the US rugby team beat France so this time they were returning to defend their title. After beating Romania 63 - 1, France entered the final. Although France was labelled the favourites to win, the US took the gold medal for a second time running, becoming the first team to win a gold medal twice in the same sport.
